A CONNECTION of Hong Kong and international artists: Go beyond physical limitation! 


Lee Gardens Association joins hands with Hysan Development, HKWALLS and Schoeni Projects to present ‘disCONNECT HK’, the exhibition inspired by the post-pandemic’s new normal. It transforms Lee Gardens into an urban art space with an array of artworks from international and local artists togather with a series of immersive prorgammes.

“disCONNECT HK” Programmes

Single Bed’ Workshop by HK Artist Go Hung

Workshop participants will be given an introduction by the local artist Go Hung on his installation artwork Single Bed and the opportunity to assist him in completing this work together. Single Bed reflects the issue of poverty in Hong Kong which is a multidimensional social phenomenon, especially during the pandemic.

 disCONNECT HK’ Dialogue

In this conversation moderated by Maria Wong from HKwalls, the gallerist Angela Li, artist Jaffa Lam, the director of Lee Gardens Association Mark Tung will be joined by Schoeni Projects founder Nicole Schoeni, where they discuss the impact of COVID19 on their connection with individuals and communities, as well as the innovative ways to respond to the current challenges in the art field in Hong Kong.

3D Virtual Tour of ‘disCONNECT LDN’ led by Nicole Schoeni

It is a 3D Virtual Tour of disCONNECT LDN led by curator Nicole Schoeni. She is going to walk through the matterport platform VR tour of the period building in London that housed disCONNECT LDN and explain the curation and themes of the show, giving an insight to the beginnings of this disCONNECT Journey.

In Dialogue with Kacey Wong

Dr. Kacey Wong is going to talk about his video work The Quarantine for disCONNECT HK and discuss with HKwalls, Maria Wong about his artistic process during the pandemic. His experimental film The Quarantine pushes this idea of civilization going backwards due to unknown reasons. It questions what if living in a completely isolated dystopian world is not a hypothesis, but a must in order to survive.
